Tennoji

Shitennōji:


Shitennoji is one of Japan's oldest temples and the first ever to be built. The outer temple grounds are free to enter, but admission to the inner precinct, the Gokuraku-jodo
Garden and the treasure house is paid. In the pebble covered courtyard of the inner precinct stand a five-storied pagoda that can be entered and ascended and the Main Hall (Kondo) in which Prince Shotoku is enshrined as a statue of Kannon.


Opening & Closing Hour:
Inner precinct: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Until 4.00pm from October till March)
Closed: No Closing Days

Gokuraku-jodo Garden: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Admission end 30 minutes before closing time) (Until 4.00pm from October till March)
Closed: No Closing Days

Treasure House: 8.30am - 4.30pm (Until 4.00pm from October till March)
Closed: Long closures between exhibitions

Costs:
Inner precinct: 300 Yen

Gokuraku-jodo Garden: 300 Yen

Treasure House: 500 Yen

Directions:
The nearest station from Shitennōji is Shitennōji-mae Yūhigaoka Station, roughly 10 minutes walk away. The most prominent way to get to Shitennōji-mae Yūhigaoka Station is by Tanimachi Line.

Tennoji Mio:



Mio Tennoji consists of a main building and a plaza building. The main building offers twelve floors of shopping with two floors of restaurants, while the plaza building has eleven floors of shops with the top four floors occupied by an electronics chain shop, schools and clinics.

Shops: 11.00am - 9.00pm (Main) & 10.00am - 9.00pm (Plaza)
Restaurants: 11.00am - 10.00pm (Main) & 8.00am - 10.00pm (Plaza)

Directions:
Mio Tennoji is located in the Tennoji Station. The most prominent way to get to Tennoji Station is by Tanimachi Line.
